BEHIND THE LENS
When I was in medical school, my interest in film-making and photography made me take part in the entrance exam of the Iranian Youth Cinema Society, which is a well-known film school in Iran where many new leaders of Iranian Young Film Makers come from. I was accepted after getting the 1st rank and received a scholarship. I graduated in 2005, and photography and film-making remained with me as a part of my life.
I also have been interested in Poetry, and poetry plays an important role in my daily life. I have been working on the translation of poetry from Persian to English. I always carry my camera with me all the time either during early-morning walks or anytime I want to be connected to the essence of existence. For me, photography and poetry have meditative values.
